Concrete Cooling

During mixing the cement in concrete hydrates causing an exothermic reaction. As the reaction takes place, the heat generated needs to be controlled to ensure that as the cement hydrates the crystals grow at the prescribed rate. If heat is not controlled the concrete's strength can be adversely affected.

This is why ice is often used in large quantities as an efficient means of controlling temperature.

Ziegra can offer turnkey ice plant solutions for concrete cooling.
